Dear Diary,
Me and scout met a boy named Charles Baker Harris. We call him Dill though. Dill lives In Meridian, Mississippi but he comes over where we live during the summer. Me and Dill have become good friends.I really enjoy playing with him. I think Dill gets a little carried away with his games but I think they get really interesting. I feel that me and Dill leave out scout but who cares.

I don't think that scout is going to like school because I think school is lame. All you do during class is hear the teacher talking all day and its so annoying. It gets so bored during the day. Summer and breaks are part of the school year. I think Girls are weird. Especially my sister.

I really miss my mother. When my mother died I had a hard time. I'm really glad Calpurnia came in my life because she is like a mother to me. Even though shes black I still see her as a mom.I feel like my mom is watching over my family and making sure we do the right thing.

I wonder if what people say about boo radley is true.I think if me and Dill want him to come out we are going to have to step it up a notch. But i think Dill is to chicken to step it up. Its really fun playing games by boo radleys house. I think its going to be a challenge to get boo to come out of his house. I'm a bit scared because I don't want him to kill me or Dill. I'm also a bit scared for scout because I don't want him to hurt her since hes a phsyco person.

I'm kind of sad that Dill left back to his home because now I don't have a friend to hang out with during the day. But it's not like hes gone forever so thats good.I feel bad for scout because her first day of school was horrible. I agree with scout because I think that scout shouldn't be punished just because she can read. Ms.Caroline she should be happy because thats one less person to teach.
